YMCA of Southwest Florida
Every day, the Y strengthens communities for kids, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage. It is how we help communities and the “us” who live in them find the power of their full potential.
YMCA of Southwest Florida is a charitable organization that serve people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. The YMCA is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone and will never turn anyone away for the inability to pay. Made possible by the support of our partners and donors, like the Bishop Parker Foundation, the Y is able to provide financial assistance to those in need, so the Y is accessible to all.
Fulfilling Our Mission
As a cause-driven charitable organization, the Y is dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the health and well-being of our communities and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
Our Three Pillars
The Y connects kids to their potential, purpose and each other so they can shape the communities of tomorrow, today. As a national leader in youth programs, the Y has a proven track record of engaging, encouraging and empowering kids. By opening access to opportunities, relationships and resources, kids can become who they are and who they want to be. At the Y, we welcome all children and their families, because our communities are stronger when everyone can participate in equitable programs where they can learn, grow and thrive.
We don’t just talk about healthy living at the Y. We believe that individuals’ health is essential to strong, thriving communities. We’re also helping transform health care from a system focused on treating illness to an innovative, collaborative approach that emphasizes well-being and prevention for all. Improving individual and community health has always been at the forefront of the YMCA’s work. We’re committed to advancing this work across our region by equipping children and adults with the tools they need to live healthier lives.
Giving back and providing support to our neighbors is the heartbeat of the Y. Now more than ever, we need places and programs open to people of all generations, backgrounds and perspectives. At the Y, we welcome everyone because we believe our communities are stronger when we come together.
