Centerstone

The renovation of Centerstone’s Behavioral Hospital and Addiction Center, made possible by the grant from the Bishop Parker Foundation is well underway. The new design increases capacity, as well as improves safety and privacy. The benefits of the changes are already apparent.
One of the design elements improved visibility from the nurses’ station to the entrance/exit doors for the unit. Having opened the line of sight, safety and privacy is increased by enabling staff to clearly see who and when someone is entering or trying to leave the unit. This open design also provides a warmer and more functional area as we serve our clients.
Still under construction is the renovation and addition of new private patient rooms. These new rooms will enhance the patient experience, improve patient privacy, and allow us to serve up to 140 more people each year.

We are truly grateful for the generosity of the Bishop Parker Foundation. Once renovations are complete, the Centerstone Behavioral Hospital and Addiction Center will provide a safer patient experience and treat more individuals in urgent need of psychiatric or addiction care in our region.
